ON COMPUTER TERMINOLOGY IN THE OSSETIAN LANGUAGE

Abstract. The article examines the Ossetian computer terminology formed under the influence of the Russian language and describes the tendencies of borrowing foreign vocabulary in the modern period. The author identifies two tendencies of the Russian borrowing-term adaptation in the Ossetian language. The first one indicates the active adoption of borrowed terms. The second one indicates the passive assimilation of borrowed words in the Ossetian language in the modern period.
