NATIONAL ARTISTIC TRADITIONS IN THE KALMYK POETRY OF THE 1920S-1940S

Abstract. The article analyzes and summarizes the historical experience of national artistic traditions in the Kalmyk poetry of the 1920-1940s, identifies the principles of historical development of the Soviet epoch. The basic distinctive feature of the Kalmyk poetry development is the creative combination of the unique national artistic traditions and the search for new methods under the conditions of socialist society. The Russian classical and Soviet literature played an important role in its formation. The originality of the Kalmyk poetry specific national character is emphasized by broadening the imaginative-thematic and genre space in close connection with the historical events of the mentioned period.
