TECHNIQUE OF LITERAL INTERPRETATION AT INDIVIDUAL AUTHORIAL TRANSFORMATIONS OF PHRASEOLOGICAL UNITS AS ONE OF THE TYPES OF LANGUAGE GAME

Abstract. The article is devoted to the comprehension of the technique mechanisms of literal interpretation of phraseological units at their individual authorial transformation in the English dramatic works of the XVIII and XX centuries. 152 contexts of individual authorial transformations of phraseological units in the XVIII and XX centuries serve as the research object. As a result of the conducted analysis the author reveals the most typical ways of outplaying meanings of an idiom component, phraseologically connected and free.
