THE ORDEAL MOTIVE IN THE MYTHO-POETICAL SYSTEM OF THE POEM BY M. TSVETAEVA "BYWAYS"

Abstract. The article examines the specific interpretation of the folkloric ordeal motive in the storyline of the poem by M. Tsvetaeva "Byways". The special attention is paid to the details of personages’ ordeals. Having analyzed the mytho-poetical structure, archetypical images, story-formative elements of the poem the author concludes on the key function of this motive in the poem’s narrative.
