ANTHROPOCENTRIC APPROACH TO THE STUDY OF THE CATEGORY OF GENDER IN THE RUSSIAN LANGUAGE

Abstract. The article is devoted to the research of the grammatical category of gender of inanimate nouns from the perspective of the anthropocentric approach during the Russian language lessons. By the example of words denoting natural elements the essence of the problem is revealed. As didactic material the authors use poems, proverbs, sayings, and riddles aimed at the development of speech, the enrichment of vocabulary, and the formation of students’ culturological competence.
