ANTONYMY OF THE LEXICAL PREPOSITIONS ЗА1AND ЗА2

Abstract. The article is devoted to a relevant nowadays topic - antonymy of prepositions. The author considers the development stages of the antonymy theory. It is identified that inter-level antonymous relations can be observed in the language. Various points of view on the notion "antonym" are studied. The author notes that antonymy of functional parts of speech is little-studied. Main attention is drawn to antonymy of prepositions: the definition "antonymous prepositions" is formulated and conditions, under which prepositions may enter antonymous relations, are revealed. The author also describes in detail the antonymy of lexical prepositions за1 and за2 .
