LINGUOCULTURAL "VARIABLES" REFLECTING CHANGES OF EXISTING REALITIES IN RUSSIAN PRIVATE LETTERS OF THE XIX-XX CENTURIES (BY THE MATERIAL OF LEXEMES DENOTING MEANS OF DISTANT COMMUNICATION: LETTER, TELEGRAM, TELEPHONE)

Abstract. The article discusses the peculiarities of using the words belonging to the thematic group "means of distant communication" in the letters of the Russian writers of the XIX-XX centuries. The author gives a classification of epistolary concepts and the methodology of their description, which consists in determining contextual environment of the key words and model situations realized by statements with these words. It is stated that the specificity of linguocultural "variables" verbalization correlates with extralinguistic factors that stipulate the evolution of distant communication.
