MACRO-PROBLEMS IN THE FLASH FICTION "A WRITER'S DIARY" BY F. M. DOSTOYEVSKY

Abstract. The article is devoted to the interpretation of additional meanings of the flash fiction in "A Writer's Diary" by F. M. Dostoyevsky and to the solution of the problems on the identification of hidden connections of separate literary works with the main journalistic text. As the result of the research the author reveals the close interrelation of flash fiction with the Russian-Slavic subjects in "A Writer's Diary" and ascertains that in "The Peasant Marey", "A Hundred-Year-Old Woman" and especially in "A Gentle Creature" the writer by means of artistic images analyzes such macro-problems as the historical role of the Russian people, the position of the Slavs in Europe, and the Slavs’ struggle for independence.
