ON THE ISSUE OF THE SEMANTICS VARIABILITY OF WAY CONSTRUCTION: COGNITIVE APPROACH
Pastukhova Elena Andreevna
Pyatigorsk State Linguistic University
Abstract. The article discusses the common and differential cognitive parameters that determine the semantics of the construction of the way in the spatial and abstract projections. Basing herself on the results of the conducted analysis, the author highlights the dependence of such properties of the construction as idiomaticity and semantic volume on its conceptual structure and in some cases on such cognitive phenomena as conceptual metaphor and metonymy.
Key words and phrases: конструкция пути, идиоматичность, пространственная проекция, абстрактная проекция, концептуальна метафора, концептуальная метонимия, construction of way, idiomaticity spatial projection, abstract projection, conceptual metaphor, conceptual metonymy
