THE NAMES OF AGE-GENDER GROUPS OF HORSES IN THE NOGAI LANGUAGE

Abstract. The article is devoted to one of the topical themes of the subject vocabulary of the Nogai language - the terms of horse breeding, which has not been collected, systematized and described monographically yet. The author makes an attempt to fill up this gap in the comparative-historical perspective. Many names of horses according to their age-gender groups due to extralinguistic reasons go into the passive vocabulary, their preservation will be of great scientific and practical importance and value for the subject vocabulary of not only the modern Nogai language, but for the Turkic studies as a whole.
