THE GEOGRAPHICAL NAMES OF THE NORTH REGION IN K. M. STANIUKOVICH’S STORY "AROUND THE WORLD ON "KORSHOUN"

Abstract. The article is a research of toponyms of the north region which can be found in the story of the outstanding Russian writer K. Staniukovich "Around the World on "Korshoun". The study is based on two attributes: a type of the described geographical object and a structure of the toponym. As the result of the analysis the author identifies the toponymic objects of the north region, mentioned in the work, provides their systematization on the stated criteria, reveals the quantitative composition of the groups of toponyms, and gives the explanation of the obtained results.
