Abstract. This article analyzes the genre specificity of Yu Kozlov’s novels. Three novels by Yu. Kozlov were selected for the analysis: "Prophets’ well", "Postal fish" and "Freedom". The plot organization of the novels is clearly shown. The author singles out the basic genre-forming flows, in which one can see the complexity of the genre nature of the novels, its synthetic character, in which the features of narratives different in the realized types of consciousness are combined.
