RUSSIAN MEDIA HOLDINGS: FORMATION AND FUNCTIONING PECULIARITIES

Abstract. The article examines the main stages of the formation of media market in Russia. The general characteristic of the most successful Russian media holdings is given. The author sets the goal to examine the specificity of the domestic economic model of the media concentration; to analyze integration processes of globalization, which, undoubtedly, have influenced radically the formation of contemporary Russian information environment.
