Abstract. This article discusses the context of the artistic portrayal of the woman’s image in the works of such famous Arabic poets of the pre-Islamic period as Al'-Mukhal'khil', Taa?bbata Sharran, Imru?ul'kais and Al'-Khansa. The author determines the specificity of the classic representation of female images in qasidas, muallakas and other ancient Arabic-language poetic forms, as well as conducts an artistic and semantic analysis of the interpretation of the woman’s image in the works of these authors.
