THE PROBLEMS OF PRE-REVOLUTIONARY SOCIAL AND POLITICAL JOURNALISM OF MAGOMET KOTIEV

Abstract. The article is devoted to the pre-revolutionary works of one of the first Ingush publicists Magomet Chorievich Kotiev. M. Kotiev’s social and political journalism has not been studied and is of great interest for the national literary criticism. The author considers the problems of publicist’s articles that were published in the newspaper "The Terek bulletin". The attempt to reveal the main reasons of M. Kotiev’s addressing to social and political journalism, the themes of his articles, and to identify the extent of the impact of his publications on readers is made. The emphasis is also put on the personal qualities of the publicist.
