THE IMAGE-MOTIVE OF HOME IN V. P. ASTAFYEV’S NOVEL "THE CURSED AND THE SLAIN"

Abstract. The article deals with the various options of image-motive of home in the novel by V. P. Astafyev "The Cursed and the Slain". The researcher points out that in the novel home is not a specific place where the character was born and grew up, but a space where he feels at ease, protected, confident, where he "finds" himself. Anti-home is a place where poor living conditions, spiritual confusion and the chaos prevail.
