"WHITE" AND "BLACK" FOOD IN THE YAKUT LINGUOCULTURE

Abstract. The article considers dairy food (white food) and meat products (black food) of the Yakut as not only the source of subsistence but as a food code of the people’s culture. The author focuses main attention on revealing the components of "white" and "black" food as parts of the people’s material culture by the example of folklore sources. It is exposed that mainly the nominations of dairy products become a cultural and cumulative center in folklore texts.
