NOTIONS OF TEXT, PERIPHERAL TEXT IN MODERN DOMESTIC LINGUISTICS

Abstract. The article examines the modern state of text, peripheral text studies in domestic linguistics. The paper discovers the meaning of the notions "peripheral text", "epistemic situation" and "epistemic context", which become more widespread in culture-oriented translation conceptions today. The author focuses on the topical conception of peripheral scientific text, the principles and criteria of which can serve as a basis to analyze any type of peripheral text including the translator’s meta-texts to the translated literary work.
