METAPHOR AS A MEANS TO EXPRESS IMPLICIT EVALUATION IN THE LANGUAGE OF PHILOSOPHY

Abstract. The article examines author’s metaphors as one of the key expressive evaluative means in F. Nietzsche’s philosophical works. The implicit evaluative metaphors are characterized by high contextual dependence; they can be identified only in interaction with the previous and/or subsequent statements in the text. The addressee should make some efforts to arrange the elements of content in such a way that in the structure of the whole they acquire their meaning and importance.
