THEORETICAL AND METHODOLOGICAL FOUNDATIONS FOR STUDYING POLY-ETHNOLECT

Abstract. The article examines theoretical approaches to defining the conceptions "ethnolect" and "poly-ethnolect" and the methods to study the linguistic phenomena in the multicultural linguistic space. The relevance of the research is conditioned by the necessity for detailed and systematic description of poly-ethnolect phenomenon. The author outlines the prospects for further studies of poly-ethnolect and the phenomena observed in the linguistic interaction in the multicultural linguistic space.
