ON THE LINKAGE BETWEEN THE COMPONENTS OF CONCEPTUAL OPPOSITION: CORRELATION OF MEANINGS "SICK - HEALTHY" IN THE METAPHORICAL MODEL "RUSSIA IS A SICK ORGANISM"

Abstract. The article aims to examine the linkage between the components of conceptual opposition "sick-healthy" in the metaphorical model "Russia is a sick organism". The author analyzes the lexemes which metaphorically designate the social reality of the modern Russia. The paper argues that just against the background of health the recognition of illness occurs and, vice versa, the norm of health is realized through the meanings and form of the lexemes with the semantics of illness.
