THE BINARY MODEL "WIFE - HUSBAND" IN THE RUSSIAN LINGUISTIC MENTALITY

Abstract. The article is devoted to the study of the mentality of the Russian people. The authors research the semantemes "wife - husband" being in paremiology as a binary linguistic model, where forming various combinations they are compared according to different attributes (synonymous-antonymous relations, unity of opposites complementing each other). The stereotyped ideas about wife and husband in the Russian linguistic mentality are identified.
