THE ANTHROPONYM AS AN ELEMENT OF THE MADMAN’S IMAGE IN THE NOVEL BY A. BELY "MOSCOW"

Abstract. The article is devoted to one of the basic motives of Andrei Bely’s creative work - the motive of madness. The paper examines the specifics of the author’s original interpretation of the madness theme in the anthroponym "Ivan Ivanovich Korobkin" in the novel by A. Bely "Moscow" and the representation of the madhouse image in the social and philosophical aspect. The category of name in A. Bely’s novel is a meaningful element, which allows a more detailed description of the hero-madman’s image. This phenomenon is represented at different levels of the motive structure and imaginative system of the literary work.
