COMPUTER GAME WORLD OF WARCRAFT: INTERACTIVE AND INTERPRETATIVE CYBER-TEXT STRATEGIES

Abstract. The article is devoted to the problem of communication in computer games. The authors examine the computer game conception and the importance of interactivity and interpretativeness in the game process. By the example of the monologues and dialogues of the mass on-line role-playing game World of Warcraft’s gamers the paper analyzes the process of communication and communicative means used by the gamers. The researchers identified the specifics of gamers’ intercourse language and showed the importance of interactivity and interpretativeness in the game process.
