COMPARATIVE ANALYSIS OF PURPOSES OF THE SUBJECT "FOREIGN LANGUAGE" IN STATE STANDARDS OF SECONDARY GENERAL EDUCATION OF THE FIRST AND SECOND GENERATIONS

Abstract. The article is devoted to analyzing and comparing the purposes of teaching a foreign language at school, which are specified in the State Standards of Secondary General Education of the first and second generations. The authors identify the changes that occurred in the system of the purposes. Orientation to the communicative competence formation, the multi-level approach and the complexity of implementing the purposes of a foreign language teaching remain common for both standards. In the second generation standard there’s an improvement of the purposes.
