THE BASIC STAGES IN THE STUDY OF THE DARGIN LANGUAGE

Abstract. The article considers the issues related to the study of the Dargin language. The author conventionally identifies four stages of studying the Dargin language, studies them, reveals the peculiarities, and gives the characteristic of each stage. He mentions that the truly scientific study of the Dargin language began in the ХХ century. Particular attention is paid to the contribution of well-known domestic and foreign linguists to the study of the Dargin language. The researcher proves the conclusions that the comprehensive study of the Dargin language is continuing at the present stage.
