APHORISM AS A GENRE, COMPACT TEXT AND UNIVERSAL STATEMENT

Abstract. The article reveals the triune essence of the aphorism combining the features of the genre, compact text and universal statement in it. The author focuses her attention on revealing the genre borders of this speech phenomenon, on the substantiation of its autonomous textual status and its generalization relating aphorisms to the category of universal statements.
