MULTI-COMPONENT COMPOUND NONCE-WORDS IN THE ENGLISH LANGUAGE: STRUCTURAL ASPECT

Abstract. The article deals with a productive way of word-building in the modern English language - the formation of multi-component compounds. The author describes the morphological peculiarities of these units and their structural types. It is concluded that the active usage of this word-formative technique can be explained by the development of the trends of analytism in English and by the tendency for speech compression.
