Abstract. In the article the relevance of the use in the course "Journalistic skill" (work in a creative workshop) of the language material collected by the employees of the companies in Khakassia within the framework of patriotic projects is grounded. The author presents the unique experience of "entering into journalism" in conditions of coal production and the topicality of studying speech communication, pragmatics of discourse, and unifying role of the language.
