SAYINGS AS A SPECIAL CATEGORY OF FIGURATIVE MEANS IN THE PHRASEOLOGICAL SYSTEM OF THE MODERN CHINESE LANGUAGE

Abstract. The article is devoted to studying the sayings as a special category of figurative means in the phraseological system of the modern Chinese language. The author examines the basic sources of sayings’ origin, semantics of the terms s?y? and gu?ny?ngy?, the basic differences of sayings from other types of phraseological units of the Chinese language.
