COLOR DENOTATION IN THE ENGLISH LANGUAGE PUBLIC SERVICE ADVERTISEMENT

Abstract. The article examines the specificity of presentation of a verbal message in the English language public service advertisement with the help of color signs - coloratives. Color signs are considered as one of the most important components of creolized texts. A number of functions, exercised by color, is highlighted, frequently used color signs in public service advertisement are revealed, their semantics is considered. The color in a creolized text, having its own semantics and functions, takes part in doing a communicative task with a semiotic unit.
