Abstract. In the article the category of localization as a grammatical category of the name is considered, and the means of its expression in the Lak language are described. The authors ground the necessity to distinguish the inessive case of the name with the formant -ву and the category of localization of spatial adverbs with the formant -в in the essive case which is a class indicator etymologically.
