VERBAL MEANS TO REPRESENT THE CATEGORY OF PERCEPTIVENESS IN THE FRENCH AND RUSSIAN LANGUAGES

Abstract. The article provides the comparative study of the structural and typological peculiarities of the French and Russian verbs of perceptive semantics expressing the basic means of perception. The process of perception is the dual process which presupposes the act of perception and its result. The paper identifies and describes the basic peculiarities of functioning of the verbs of perception as a means to represent the category of perceptiveness. The originality of the paper is due to the fact that the French and Russian languages were not previously compared in such aspect.
