EXPRESSING TAXIS SEMANTICS OF CONSECUTION BY MEANS OF DEPENDENT TAXIS

Abstract. The article is devoted to the analysis of realization of the semantics of consecution by means of dependent taxis by the material of the modern English language. The author describes the functions of dependent taxis, identifies its central and peripheral components, forms the general cognitive-functional taxis model realizing the taxis semantic functions, singles out on its basis the particular models that serve to express the consecution within the framework of dependent taxis, and considers the functioning of the relevant components of the particular models in the process of realization of the semantics of consecution.
