USING NEWS TEXTS TO FORM THE POLITICAL COMPETENCE OF A FUTURE TRANSLATOR

Abstract. The article examines linguo-didactic potential of news texts in the formation of political competence of a future translator. The author discusses the essence and structure of the mentioned competence, analyzes the advantages and disadvantages of its use to form news texts of different propagation channels (television, radio, printed media, Internet).
