BUDDHIST VOCABULARY AND TERMINOLOGY AND PROBLEM OF ITS TRANSLATION

Abstract. Buddhist terms, alongside with a vocabulary of other religious confessions, are relevant nowadays, but most of the native speakers of Buryat are not familiar with them. According to the author, Buddhist terminology should be studied as a harmonious integrated system which is formed by the thematic groups, subgroups and micro-systems, revealing their phonetic and morphological and word-formative peculiarities. The paper focuses on the means to transfer the Buddhist names and terms into the Russian language.
