LEXICAL MEANS OF EXPRESSION OF DESIRABILITY IN THE FRENCH LANGUAGE

Abstract. The article examines the semantic content and functional status of desirability, presented in the body of four notions - the expression of will, the voluntative, the desirative, the optative. The desirability is examined considering pragmatic factors, conditioned by the interaction between interlocutors, the content of statement and reality. Five groups of lexical means of expression of desirability in the French language are revealed, their nomenclature and peculiarities of their use in the situations of communication are defined.
