PUBLICIST ACTIVITY OF KHAMIDA YARMI AS THE SOURCE OF CULTURE STUDY

Abstract. The article reveals the content of publicist activity of the scientist-folklorist Khamid Khusnutdinovich Yarmukhametov (Khamid Yarmi), which reflects a vast documental material about the most various phenomena of socio-cultural life of the Siberian and the Volga Region Tatars and is the source of the Tatar culture study in the 1930-1980s. The publicist method of Khamid Yarmi is an integral ideologically oriented reflection of important events of contemporary to him cultural life. As a publicist, he combines the features of a public figure and qualities of an explorer and artist in himself. The paper examines specific ideological and thematic varieties, narrative forms and genres, highlighting in the publicist activity of Khamid Yarmi.
