LINGUO-CULTUROLOGICAL COMPETENCY AS A COMPONENT OF PROFESSIONALISM OF A TEACHER-PHILOLOGIST

Abstract. The article examines the essence of linguo-culturological competency as a component of professionalism of a teacher-philologist. Various approaches to its definition are analyzed; the author’s interpretation of this phenomenon is given. The conclusion is made that the high level of linguo-culturological competence of a teacher of the Russian language and Literature is the condition of his/her efficient professional activity.
