SEMANTIC CHARACTERISTICS OF ART WORKS TITLES OF THE BRITISH ARTISTS

Abstract. The article analyzes the semantic characteristics of the pictures titles on the topic of children and childhood by the British painters. The nominations of pictures represent textual units of small format which possess accompanying characteristics. By the linguistic material the variety of speech parts belonging to the titles of pictures is shown. Each of the presented parts of speech demonstrates the uniqueness of the titles of pictures and conveys the peculiarities of the world of children and childhood.
