SOME ASPECTS OF ACTUALIZATION OF THE CATEGORY "UNCERTAINTY" IN THE ENGLISH LANGUAGE

Abstract. The article is devoted to the examination of the lexical units, actualizing the category of "Uncertainty" in the English language. In the paper the theoretical substantiation of such notions as "uncertainty", "category" on the basis of studying of theoretical sources is given. The component and contextual analysis of the semantic structure of lexemes representing the considering category is conducted. The author comes to the conclusion that the uncertainty in the English language consciousness may be manifested in actions, intentions and awareness of the surrounding reality.
