COMBINATORY POTENTIAL OF TRANSLATION TRANSFORMATIONS (BY THE EXAMPLE OF THE WORK BY K. KESEY "ONE FLEW OVER THE CUCKOO’S NEST")

Abstract. The article is devoted to the study of the combinatory potential of translation transformations. The analysis has shown that both classes of transformations can be combined with each other, but structural and level transformations have higher combinatory potential in comparison with content transformations. The combination of categorical-morphological, lexical and syntactic transformations is a dominating one that is explained by the typological differences of the English and Russian languages.
