THE LEXICAL MEANS OF DECODING IMPLICITLY EXPRESSED EMOTIONS

Abstract. The emotional component of speech can be expressed explicitly or implicitly, depending on the context of the discourse, the communicative experience of a person or his intentions. This paper discusses the lexical means of the French and English languages ??involved in the representation and decoding of implicit expression of various emotions. Decoding of interlocutor’s intentions is possible in the presence of emotional intelligence, knowledge of the emotional situation and the context, the overall worldview and background knowledge.
