LITERARY AND PUBLICISTIC HERITAGE OF F. D. KRYUKOV: THEMATIC ANALYSIS

Abstract. The article analyzes the creative work of Don writer F. D. Kryukov, the founder of "Don collection" in the Russian literature and journalism. The paper identifies the creative principles and the elements of writer’s literary craft considering the meaningful, functional, audience characteristics of mass media within the social-political and historical-literary space. The author proposes her original periodization of F. D. Kryukov’s creative activity, identifies the factors determining the choice of publication’s theme and idea, and concludes that the documentary and autobiographical nature of the narration promoted the development of panoramic worldview and involvement of the audience into the dialogue on the relevant problems of modernity.
