THE CONCEPTUAL MEANING OF INVECTIVE WORDS IN ZAHAR PRILEPIN’S NOVEL "ABODE"

Abstract. The article is devoted to revealing the versatility of invective vocabulary as a marker of the conceptual meaning of the novel "Abode" by Zahar Prilepin. The article singles out the functions of the images’ characteristic, the inner (spiritual) state of the characters; the function of demagogic deception; the eradication of the true meaning of the spiritual sphere vocabulary; the function of detection of the general author’s intention. It is proved that the main function performed by a brutal word in the novel is the demonstration of the demagogic essence of the new post-revolutionary state and it is associated with this crisis of the Russian man’s spirituality.
