Abstract. Contrary to the traditional systemic approach to the semantics of the Tatar tense form БИЛГЕЛЕ YТК?Н ЗАМАН (Past evident) the author proposes complex approach to interpreting its semantics and functioning as Perfect, Plusquamperfect and Preterit forms and their status depending on a variety of factors: tense form semantics, actional semantics of a verb, aspectual semantics of adverbial modifier, functioning in micro- and macro-context.
