PROBLEMS OF FORMING THE SPIRITUAL-MORAL CRITERIA OF THE MAIN CHARACTER’S CREATIVITY IN K. ABRAMOV’S WORK "STEPAN ERZIA"

Abstract. In this article the problem of spiritual-moral evolution of the world-famous sculptor Stepan Erzia is considered. The author focuses on the fact that the mind of the main character in the novel was formed under the direct influence of sociocultural environment of the Erzya people. Particular examples prove that "time spirit ", "national spirit", recreated by the writer, are the background against which Erzia’s professional development as a sculptor took place, a unique style of his artistic creativity appeared.
