EVOLUTION OF YU. I. AYKHENVALD’S CRITICAL METHOD IN THE ?MIGR? PERIOD

Abstract. The article is devoted to the impact of historical context of the early XX century on Yu. I. Aykhenvald’s "immanent" method, as well as to the reasons of ethical criterion appearance as a leading one in his works. The author analyzes the critic’s various publications in the leading newspaper of emigration - "Rudder" (Berlin), dedicated to the literature about the revolution and civil war, as well as to life in the USSR. The conclusion is that the appearance of ethical criterion as a leading one was due to both socio-political and axiological reasons.
