Abstract. The article is devoted to the problem of educating labour values and orientations in the family by involving the younger generation in household duties. The authors emphasize the role and importance of domestic labour when forming young people’s labour values and orientations. Using empiric material the paper analyzes labour education problems; in particular, the researchers identify dependency mentality concerning the conception "equitable distribution of household duties".
