IMAGE OF GERMANY AND IMAGE OF RUSSIA AS "NATIVE" AND "ALIEN" (BY THE EXAMPLE OF E. E. DWINGER’S MEMOIRS „DIE ARMEE HINTER STACHELDRAHT")

Abstract. The article focuses on components of Russia’s and Germany’s images: geographical, domestic-cultural and political/patriotic, each of which acquires its manifestation in memoirs by E. E. Dwinger, a prisoner of the First World War. As a result, the positive and "light" image of Germany (image of life) and the "dark" image of Russia (image of death) are formed.
